A major motion picture based on Storming the Court is now under development at Warner Bros. The studio purchased the rights to the book in the spring of 2005, with Michael Seitzman slated to write and direct. Nick Wechsler will produce the film, while Courtenay Valenti will supervise it for Warner Bros. See Variety.com for more details.

Seitzman is riding a wave of industry acclaim for his screenplay for the film North Country, the story of female mineworkers in Minnesota who go to court to battle sexual harrassment by their male coworkers. Starring Academy Award winners Charlize Theron and Frances McDormand, the film is based on the book Class Action (Doubleday, 2002) by Clara Bingham and Laura Reedy Gansler. Michael Seitzman is currently working on the screenplay for The Sparrow, an upcoming science fiction epic starring Brad Pitt.
