We're happy to introduce the first special feature of this site: video footage from the Guantanamo detention camp taken on August 29, 1992.

The footage, taped by a member of the U.S. military's Joint Task Force following a fierce protest by the Haitian refugees, shows military personnel arresting the refugees and binding them with flexcuffs. Government lawyers gave the videotape to the plaintiffs' attorneys in March 1993, during the trial for the Haitians' freedom. The events depicted in the video appear in Chapter 5 of Storming the Court.

More features will be available soon, including photographs of Guantanamo taken in 1992 and 1993, updates on the book's main characters, documents from the lawsuit, and information about Brandt Goldstein's future projects.
